Summary of the contracting process

The Gloucestershire County Council is conducting a tender for the "Round 2 Gloucestershire Health and Social Care Pseudo-Framework 2020-2024", focusing on the health and social work services industry. This procurement is currently in the Award stage, with an estimated overall value of £244 million over four years, and covers several lots for domiciliary care and community-based support services for adults and children across Gloucestershire. Key components include various support services for individuals with disabilities, particularly within a framework structured for flexibility and annual re-openings as necessary to meet service area needs.

This procurement process presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in health and social care services, particularly those specialising in domiciliary care, supported living, and community support. Companies of varying sizes, including SME providers familiar with the nuances of local care requirements, would be well-positioned to compete for awards in the multiple lots available. The estimated annual budget of £62 million further underscores the potential for growth in this sector, making it a promising avenue for suppliers looking to expand their service offerings in Gloucestershire.
