Options: The contract is for an initial term of 5 years. The Authority may extend the duration by giving written notice to the Contractor not less than three (3) months prior to the end of the Contract which shall provide additional time beyond the Contract Term by no more than 1 year.

The Specialist equipment is required to interoperate with existing capability within the MPS and the goods are only available from one supplier. Therefore competition is absent for technical reasons.
