Procurement Information

Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) CBRISS Commercial Team which is part of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (UK MOD) is intending to place a Contract with Jane's Group UK Limited for the subscription renewal of 300 licences for their databases. This renewed subscription will be for 1 year. Dstl requires defence information in a consolidated format, which is only available from this supplier Janes Group UK Limited. Dstl relies on the information and the tools to support our customers and Dstl's own knowledge base. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice. It is considered that this can be justified on the basis of technical grounds pursuant to Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The UK MOD requirement is for information which: Jane's Group UK Limited can provide in a consolidated format, which cannot be provided by any other supplier. Unique information such as: * Janes Defence Equipment Technology * Janes Defence Industry & Markets * Janes Military & Security Assessments All which are provided through the subscription for access to the Databases' which aren't available anywhere else. Value of Contract: PS209,104.35. Justification For Non-Competitive Decision: The UK MOD considers that this can be justified on the basis of technical grounds pursuant to Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015).
