Summary of the contracting process

Scottish Water is currently conducting a selective tendering process for the provision of Building Surveys, with an estimated annual expenditure of £1 million over an initial three-year term. The procurement, classified under building surveying services (CPV code: 71315300), is active and set to conclude by 1 June 2021. The tender aims to secure health and safety building condition survey reports for approximately 2,500 sites across Scotland, where it may be divided into various lots for performance by successful applicants. Interested suppliers are required to submit their pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) and follow specific submission guidelines as detailed in the online portal.

This opportunity presents significant potential for growth for businesses specialising in surveying services, particularly those holding Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors accreditation. Companies with experience in health and safety assessments and the capability to manage numerous locations effectively would be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, firms prepared to support the anticipated contract value and those that demonstrate financial stability through the bidding process will have a competitive advantage. As such, businesses that can meet the rigorous technical and financial criteria outlined are encouraged to engage with this tender.
