BBC Orchestra & Singing Groups Management System RFI
Notice Description
The BBC has a long history of performance groups, today the BBC retains a number of performance groups, across the UK, including 5 Orchestras (Symphony, Concert,Philharmonic, Scottish Symphony & National Orchestra of Wales) and a Choral Ensemble (BBC Singers). The groups work on a number of projects (made up of events and resources) throughout the calendar year both internally e.g. Recordings for Radio Stations and externally e.g. International Tours. All performance groups require the use of a software system to create and manage their projects. The groups currently use a client based system and the project aims to replace or upgrade the existing system to enable flexible remote working and to address a number of issues with the current product.

The high level requirements have been summarised below. * A solution that: o Is cloud/web-based and supports mobile devices o Enables project planning (e.g. rehearsals, live performances, tours) o Enables a manageable library of repertoires/works o Enables management of orchestrations, fixing (resource management) and contractual entitlements (e.g. playing hours, free days, etc) o Retains personal data of group members o Has the ability to make data available to specific groups in the form of reports (e.g. playing schedules, tour details, repertoire for performance) o Accessible for different user roles with different viewing/usability requirements o Adheres to BBC Data Protection, Security and Accessibility requirements * The capability to import historic data from the existing system
