Princes Parade Leisure Centres Management Contract
Notice Description
Folkestone & Hythe District Council is seeking to understand through this notice potential interest from experienced operators in the leisure management contract to operate the new Princes Parade Leisure Centre in Hythe, Kent. The new centre will be a high quality wet and dry sport and leisure facility and will replace the existing Hythe Swimming Pool (CT21 6AR), a facility that has reached the end of its intended life. The new facility will be located at the eastern end of Princes Parade in Hythe, about 1 1/2 miles to the east of the existing pool. The new centre will comprise of the following: * 25m x 6-lane competition equipped swim pool * Spectator seating (100 person) * 12m x 4 lane teaching pool (visible from the cafe seating area) * Swim village changing and dry changing facilities * 100-station fitness gym * 3 Fitness Studios * Cafe/vending * 185 spaces and 2 coach bays.

Folkestone & Hythe District Council is intending to procure a management contract for both facilities commencing in Q3 2023. It will be for an initial period of 10 years in length with provision for an extension of up to 5 years. The Council and its specialist advisors will be hosting virtual one-to-one meetings whereby interested parties will be able to view current designs and plans for the new leisure centre and gain a greater understanding of the Council's aspirations for the contract. These meetings will be held via Microsoft Teams. Bidders interested in attending a session should contact the Council to arrange a convenient date and time via the Kent Business portal at https://www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk. For clarity, registration for these meetings will not constitute an expression of interest in this or any other tender.
