Summary of the contracting process

Liverpool City Council is seeking proposals for the "Urban Outreach and Response Service," a contract focused on health and social work services within the public procurement category of services. The procurement process is currently in the continuation phase, which was invoked as of 1st April 2021 due to delays caused by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Originally initiated under extreme urgency regulations, this 12-month contract may be extended for up to 6 months to ensure a seamless transition during the re-procurement process. The opportunity will soon be advertised on the Government's Find a Tender Service, and interested parties should keep an eye on this platform for updates.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in outreach and support services aimed at vulnerable communities, particularly those involved with street-based lifestyles such as rough sleeping and street drinking. Service providers with expertise in health and social care, as well as those possessing a strong track record in responsive service delivery during urgent circumstances, would be ideally positioned to compete for this contract. As Liverpool City Council seeks reliable partners for this crucial service, businesses that can demonstrate adaptability, comprehensive service allocation, and dedication to community welfare would likely stand out in the bidding process.
