Summary of the contracting process

The Gateshead Council, acting as the lead authority for the North East Procurement Organization, has completed a tender process for the framework for Demolition Works and Associated Services and Asbestos Management. The tender involved multiple lots catering to different regions and specializations, with the aim of renewing the existing framework. The tender was conducted through a restricted procedure and has awarded contracts to various suppliers for different lots. The tender opportunity was available to all NEPO members and associate members, with plans to extend its availability to various contracting authorities.

This procurement process provides opportunities for businesses in the demolition and asbestos management industry to secure contracts for a range of services, including standard demolition, specialist demolition, and asbestos surveying services. Businesses involved in demolition works, asbestos removal services, and environmental consultancy would be well-suited to compete for these contracts. The framework covers various geographical areas within the North East region and beyond, offering a significant opportunity for growth and collaboration for eligible businesses seeking to expand their presence in the public contracting sector.
