Summary of the contracting process

Cumbria County Council is conducting a tender for the "Extra Care Housing and Supported Living Framework" to establish a framework for developing essential housing projects. This procurement falls under the works category, specifically involving building installation work. The process is currently at the completion stage, with the initial framework period lasting 48 months and two optional extensions of 24 months. This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for construction and housing service providers, particularly those specialising in social housing, supported living schemes, and residential developments. Companies with capabilities in design, construction, and project management will be well-positioned to compete. With the council seeking experienced providers to address identified needs in the community, it is a prime opportunity for businesses aiming to expand their portfolio in public sector contracts.
