Summary of the contracting process

The Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is initiating a procurement process for the "Cyber Skills and Careers Inspiration Programme for Young People" as part of the National Cyber Security Programme. This programme aims to engage secondary school-aged children in cyber security through a digital solution, regional interventions, and a communication campaign. The procurement falls under the services category, with an estimated contract value of £3,000,000 (excl VAT). The procurement method is a tender, and tender submissions are due by 12:00 noon (BST) on 29th June 2021, with clarification questions needing to be submitted by 12:00 noon (BST) on 15th June 2021. The procurement is located in London, UK.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in education and training services or digital solutions related to cyber security. Companies that can design and implement effective communication strategies or have experience in involving under-represented groups in educational programmes would be particularly well-suited to compete. The focus on engaging young people in secondary education makes this an attractive opportunity for organisations looking to contribute to future workforce development in the cyber security sector.
