Summary of the contracting process

The Environment Agency (EA) is planning a tender for the Supply and Maintenance of Groundcare Equipment, Light Plant, and Tools. This initiative falls under the miscellaneous repair and maintenance services sector, with the procurement process currently at the planning stage. Interested suppliers are encouraged to provide feedback to shape the final contract, with the deadline for market engagement set for 2nd July 2021. The EA intends to combine existing frameworks for ground care equipment and light plant into a single contract and is exploring the inclusion of Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) Monitoring Equipment based on supplier input.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in the maintenance and servicing of ground care equipment and tools. Companies specialising in repair and maintenance services, particularly those with expertise in HAV monitoring solutions, would be well-positioned to compete in this procurement. The EA seeks to establish a contractor who can not only maintain a comprehensive asset database but also provide vital monitoring equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Interested businesses should register their interest and participate in the provided survey to influence the future framework.
