Notice Description
Jisc is seeking to enter into a contract with JSTOR to provide Jisc member institutions with the opportunity to access content published by JSTOR with preferential pricing. The service is being contracted on behalf of our members and not for Jisc's own use. JSTOR's complete archive collections include: Arts & Sciences I - XV Biological Sciences Business & Economics Business I - IV Ecology & Botany I - II Global Plants Health & General Sciences Hebrew Journals Jewish Studies Language & Literature Life Sciences Mathematics & Statistics Music Religion & Theology Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa (Aluka) World Heritage Sites: Africa (Aluka) Newly added collections include the Sustainability Collection, the Security Studies Collection, and Lives of Literature, a collection of academic journals devoted to the study of writers and texts associated with key literary movements.

The service is being contracted on behalf of our members and not for Jisc's own use. JSTOR's complete archive collections include: Arts & Sciences I - XV Biological Sciences Business & Economics Business I - IV Ecology & Botany I - II Global Plants Health & General Sciences Hebrew Journals Jewish Studies Language & Literature Life Sciences Mathematics & Statistics Music Religion & Theology Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa (Aluka) World Heritage Sites: Africa (Aluka) Newly added collections include the Sustainability Collection, the Security Studies Collection, and Lives of Literature, a collection of academic journals devoted to the study of writers and texts associated with key literary movements. Additional information: The contract value is an estimate based on the aggregate sum of the licence fees that will be paid to the supplier by Jisc member institutions over the three year term of the contract. Jisc Collections itself makes no payment to the supplier for this service.
Procurement Information
The publishing service and content is unique to the supplier. Therefore Jisc is clear that the arrangement falls within the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights, contained within Regulation 32 (2) (b) (iii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, permitting Jisc to enter into the direct award.
