Children's Residential Care, Fostering and Therapeutic Education Service

This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity. ** PLEASE NOTE: By Expressing an Interest in this event via the portal you are not confirming your place at the event. Please follow the instructions below to reserve your place. ** Provision of Children's Residential Care, Fostering and Therapeutic Education Service. Somerset County Council is looking for a Strategic Partner(s) to work innovatively with us to deliver services for complex children and young people. This will be a 10 year programme to deliver homes for children with aligned high needs fostering and multi-disciplinary support and associated therapeutic education. We are open to suppliers forming consortia arrangements to fully cover the areas in scope or using subcontractors for some areas.

We are holding a virtual market engagement exercise on Wednesday 7th July at 11am via Teams. The session will provide more background on what we are trying to achieve to provide the best possible outcomes for our most complex young people. In addition, it will outline the procurement process and how you can participate in this. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by Somerset County Council to undertake a procurement procedure. Event Details Date: Wednesday 7th July Time: 11:00 to 12:00 Venue: Microsoft Teams meeting (invite to be sent via email following registration) Event Registration: To attend this event please respond to this invitation via the messaging system in ProContract providing the name of your organisation, the name and role of the person(s) wishing to attend and a contact email address for each. Please ensure that those attending from your organisation are the most appropriate to feed into the discussions. If you are unable to attend the event, the presentation, notes and associated documentation will be available through the e-tender system ProContract (www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk). We intend to record this session and can provide a link to the recording after the event - we also need your permission to record this. Deadline for responses to reserve a place: Monday 5th July SCC reserves the right to cancel or re-arrange these events at its own discretion.
