The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to inform the market of our intention to tender for the Provision of a Farm Advisory Service which will have 2 separate Lots. Lot 1 will be for FAS One to Many and Lot 2 will be for FAS One to One

Lot Information

Farm Advisory Service One to Many

The FAS will have a firm customer focus and be designed to help farmers and other land managers of primary agricultural land to comply with legislative and other requirements; and improve economic and environmental performance. Outputs from the One-to-Many FAS component will align closely with the purpose of Scottish Government, which is to create a more successful country, with opportunities for all to flourish through increasing sustainable economic growth. The service will help deliver support to farmers, land managers and crofters, providing high quality advice that will improve Scotland's natural environment, reducing the impact of agriculture on climate change and optimising business efficiency. Priorities: - fostering knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture, forestry and rural areas; - enhancing the viability and competitiveness of all types of agriculture, and promoting innovative farm technologies and sustainable forest management; - promoting food chain organisation, animal welfare and risk management in agriculture; - promoting resource efficiency and supporting the shift toward a low-carbon and climate resilient economy in the agriculture, food and forestry sectors; - restoring, preserving and enhancing ecosystems related to agriculture and forestry;
