Summary of the contracting process

The Victoria and Albert Museum, located in London, recently initiated a tender process for a framework agreement titled "Museum Standard Frames Framework." The procurement process aimed to establish non-exclusive agreements for providing museum-standard picture frames and bespoke frames, classified under the goods category. However, this tender has been cancelled, and all related awards have been marked as unsuccessful. Key dates include the tender initiation on 29th June 2021, with the process characterized by a selective procurement method under the restricted procedure.

This cancelled tender presents an opportunity for framing companies, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), looking to grow their business within the cultural sector. Although this specific tender is discontinued, the V&A's future procurement processes may still seek suppliers with relevant experience in providing museum-quality frames. Suppliers interested in this sector should prepare to respond to upcoming opportunities to meet the expected standards and requirements laid out by the V&A.
