Summary of the contracting process

CalMac Ferries Limited is conducting a public procurement for the supply, installation, and commissioning of replacement emergency diesel generators, classified under the CPV code 34311000 (Engines). This procurement is currently at the tender stage. Interested suppliers should note that the tender period ends on 5th August 2021, with submissions accepted electronically. The procurement will be carried out using an open procedure, thereby ensuring a competitive bidding environment.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in engine supply and installation, particularly those with experience in marine or emergency power systems. Companies capable of meeting the technical and financial requirements, including adequate insurance provisions and a minimum annual turnover of £500,000, would be well-suited to compete.
