Notice Information
Notice Title
Co-ordinating Bulky Waste Collections and Local Welfare Provision within a Local Authority Setting
Notice Description
Oldham Council provides many services to serve the residents of the borough, 2 of which are a bulky waste collection service and the Local Welfare Provision (LWP) scheme. The bulky waste collection service is a statutory duty collecting from domestic households in Oldham and the LWP scheme is to provide support to meet short term emergency/immediate supports needs of vulnerable residents and also to assist vulnerable residents to establish or maintain a home in the community. The Council wish to combine these 2 contracts and offer residents a holistic service offer. As part of the tender process for a new contract (to start from 1st April 2022) the Council wishes to undertake soft market testing. The purpose of the testing is to allow the Council an opportunity to refine its current working contract methodology and shape our proposal for a potential formal tender process.
