UK SBS on behalf of the South Tees Site Company Ltd wishes to a establish a contract for a single contractor to provide Scaffold/Access services and a site team. UK SBS is managing this procurement process in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended from time to time) (the 'Regulations') and EU Treaty Principles. This is a services and supplies contract being procured under the OJEU open procedure regulations. UKSBS on behalf of the South Tees Site Company Ltd wishes to establish a contract for a single contractor to provide Scaffold/Access and a site team. At present large amount of scaffold materials are transported across site to structures/buildings, etc. using a scaffold trailer towed by a Manitou M30 Forklift c/w hydraulic hitch in order to allow for essential maintenance and inspections. As the scaffold/access team will be mobile any contractor must have a suitable van to transport materials to enable flexibility to cover the various areas of site. The successful contractor will be required to erect, dismantle and modify scaffolds as per the agreed plan with the relevant manager/task owner, including tagging. Contractors are to note that in some cases where the scaffolds have been stood for a numbers of years they will be required to dismantle the scaffolds and be scrapped. As part of this contract scaffold and other access equipment such as MEWPs may be required however each request should be assessed and the best option for access is to be agreed with the relevant manager/task owner. Demand may increase during the contract period however it is difficult to predict as this is dependent on other project timescales. It is expected that innovative methods of working or new technology will be considered to further reduce costs during the lifetime of the agreement. Key customer outcomes - work will be planned (except emergency work) with the STSC planner who will determine the work required for the following week where possible taking into account any safety priorities. The successful contractor will be required to attend this weekly meeting. Planned work will be completed as agreed to allow wider site plans to be completed within timescales, any changes to planned work will be via STSC planner. The contract duration shall be for a period of 1 year with the option to extend for a further 1-year period. A brief summary of the requirements has been provided above, please ensure you review full details of this requirement. All additional appendices can be found within the Stage One: Overview section on the Delta eSourcing Portal. See section I.3) for access to procurement documentation.
