Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Cornwall Council seeking contractors for the provision of Pro-Social Learning Activities for Children Diagnosed with Asperger’s/Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This planned tender falls under the health and social work services industry, valued at £715,000, and is located in Truro, UKK3. A Virtual Provider Event is scheduled for 25 August 2021, aimed at facilitating input and co-design opportunities into the service, alongside detailed information regarding the tender process. Interested parties must register beforehand by contacting Michelle Collins to secure their invitation.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the health and social care sectors, particularly those specialising in disability services, education, or community engagement. Companies offering short break services or programmes that focus on the social skills development of children aged 8-18 would be particularly well-suited to compete, as the initiative aims to create safe and enriching environments for young individuals with ASD. Engaging in this procurement could enable businesses to expand their services and foster meaningful community impacts while aligning with local strategic priorities.
