Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves NHS Rotherham CCG acquiring the Adult Neurodiversity Post Diagnostic Support Service, categorized under social services within the health industry. This contract is based in Rotherham and has reached the award stage, having been signed on 23 July 2021, with a value of £671,032. The contract is set to expire on 31 March 2023, with an option for a two-year extension until 31 March 2025. The procurement was conducted through a limited method, meaning it was awarded without prior publication of a call for competition due to the specific needs of the service being provided.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in health and social services, particularly those that offer support services for individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions. Companies capable of providing peer support, counselling, and personalised service plans would be well-suited to compete in future procurements resulting from the recent changes to the Neurodevelopment pathway. The period of stabilisation ahead will offer potential bidders a chance to align their services with the anticipated demand and develop tailored responses to any future procurement specifications.
