Key dates include the signing of contracts on 7th June 2021, which involve a total value of £400 million (£100 million for each of the three main lots). The procurement follows an open procedure, allowing broad participation from qualified suppliers.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in homecare services, particularly those offering low, mid, and high-tech medical solutions. Companies that excel in areas such as dispensing and delivery of homecare medicines, nursing services, and refrigeration provision would be particularly well-placed to compete. With the demand for professional and reliable homecare services on the rise, businesses that align with the NHS's quality standards and can deliver innovative healthcare solutions are likely to thrive in this competitive market.
