Summary of the contracting process

The Cirrus Consortium, operating under Halton Housing, has initiated the "Cirrus Consortium Kitchen Supply Framework 2021", which is currently in the Award stage of the procurement process. This framework, available for use by contracting authorities throughout England, Scotland, and Wales, primarily focuses on the supply of kitchen furniture and equipment, with a contract value of £30 million. Key phases include the bid opening on 14 September 2021 and the expected framework commencement in October 2021, extending over a four-year period. The framework is based on an open procurement method, allowing for a wide submission from interested suppliers.

This tender presents significant opportunities for manufacturers and suppliers within the kitchen equipment sector. Businesses involved in kitchen design, manufacturing of kitchen components, and complementary services like installation and delivery can benefit from this framework. The anticipated engagement of approximately 15 suppliers opens avenues for SMEs as well as larger companies to contribute to public sector projects in the UK, catering to diverse needs such as new builds and refurbishments across multiple public contracts.
