Notice Title

Provision of Mobility Hubs

Notice Description

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) wishes to engage with suppliers through a market testing exercise to understand what opportunities there are to develop a network of 'Mobility Hubs' located in town centres, transport interchanges and residential neighbourhoods across the West Midlands.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) wishes to engage with suppliers through a market testing exercise to understand what opportunities there are to develop a network of 'Mobility Hubs' located in town centres, transport interchanges and residential neighbourhoods across the West Midlands. A mobility hub is a recognisable place with an offer of different and connected transport modes supplemented with enhanced facilities and information features to both attract and benefit the traveller. They encourage people to rethink if a private car is necessary for the trips they would like to undertake. In addition to modes such as shared bikes and car clubs, further choices can be offered as an alternative to the car, including cargo bikes adapted for various uses in circumstances. To develop a suitable network would require close working with Local Authorities as well as building relationships with existing contractors for micromobility services. Also, a consideration needs to be undertaken as to how promotion and marketing activity of mobility hubs would be supported to ensure their success. We recognise that not all suppliers will be able to provide all elements, however, we are keen to understand what each organisation can deliver and whether there are any opportunities for collaborative working to provide the full range of required outputs (this is not obligatory). In order to access the Opportunity please do so through BravoSolution, the WMCA's e-tendering portal (https://wmca.bravosolution.co.uk). The PQQ reference is pqq_151 and if you are not already registered on BravoSolution it is free and usually only takes a few minutes to do so. Could you please download, complete and then upload the Questionnaire contained in the PQQ by 1700 on Monday 13th September 2021. TfWM are hosting a session, via MS Teams, to go through the requirements and for potential bidders to ask questions which will take place on Thursday 9th September 2021 commencing at 1500. If this is of interest you are asked to pre-register by sending a message through BravoSolution by 1700 on Wednesday 8th September 2021 advising the email addresses of who would like to attend and we will forward over the invitation to you.
