Summary of the contracting process

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) is overseeing the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme Framework, which falls under the community health services category. This procurement process, classified as an open tender, is currently active and aims to establish a multi-provider framework for providing holiday activities and food for families with school-aged children eligible for Free School Meals. The activities will take place during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas holidays. The tender period is set to conclude on 8th October 2021, with the contract initially lasting for two years starting from 1st December 2021, with an option to extend for up to an additional 24 months based on performance and funding availability.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in community services, particularly those offering holiday clubs, youth engagement activities, or catering services focused on children and families. Potential providers could include local sports coaching organisations, craft and activity specialists, educational services, and venues that can host such events. Furthermore, as the council plans to run periodic competitions to allow new providers to join the framework, businesses that may have missed the first round still have a chance to participate and expand their services within Warwickshire.
