Summary of the contracting process

The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office is conducting a tender for the construction of new offices in Freetown, Sierra Leone, under Project No. 6590. This selective procurement process, characterised as a restricted procedure, is currently active and aims to appoint a contractor for building construction work valued at £12.5 million GBP. The tender period is set to close on 22 October 2021, with further invitations anticipated on 6 December 2021. Interested bidders must register on the specified eSourcing portal, complete the pre-qualification questionnaire, and submit their proposals electronically.

This tender presents substantial business opportunities for construction firms, particularly those with experience in large-scale projects and knowledge of health and safety compliance within potentially sensitive environments. Companies specialised in building development, especially those familiar with government contracts, will find this project beneficial due to its size and complexity. Engaging in this tender allows businesses to expand their portfolio in a growing market, while contributing to the improvement of governmental facilities in Sierra Leone.
