Summary of the contracting process

The current procurement process, seeking expertise in energy-efficiency consultancy services, is administered by the Communities & Housing Investment Consortium Ltd (CHIC) in Birmingham, UK. The tender titled "CHIC Wales Optimised Retrofit Consultancy DPS 2021" falls under the services category, specifically targeting energy-efficiency consultancy. The procurement stage is at the tender update phase, with amendments leading to an extension of the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) up to 23rd February 2029. Located in Wales, this tender promises a substantial opportunity with a potential contract value estimated at £280,000,000 excluding VAT. Potential participants should note that the time limit for receipt of tenders has been extended to 2029, signifying a prolonged engagement for interested parties.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in energy-efficiency consultancy. It is well-suited for businesses experienced in retrofitting homes and employing Intelligent Energy Systems, focusing on homes across Wales. Collaborative enterprises with a strong technical foundation and capability to manage large portfolios will find this DPS attractive due to its accessibility to a plethora of UK public-sector bodies. The procurement follows a restricted procedure method, allowing business growth through selective, quality, and cost-effective tender evaluation. Particularly beneficial for SMEs and larger organisations in sectors such as housing, local government, and educational facilities, participation in this initiative could enhance technical expertise and expand market presence within the public sector consortium framework.
