Notice Description
Jisc is seeking to enter into a 1 year contract with Elsevier B.V. to offer Jisc members the opportunity to subscribe to Reaxys, a web-based system for searching an extensive collection of organic, organometallic and inorganic chemistry data. Reaxys enables users to search by structure, substructure, reaction, text and property data. Reaxys Medicinal Chemistry empowers early discovery in drug development with normalised substance-target affinity data and comprehensive pharmacokinetic, efficacy, toxicity, safety and metabolic profiles. The service is being contracted on behalf of our members, not for Jisc Collections' own use.

The service is being contracted on behalf of our members, not for Jisc Collections' own use. The contract is for 1 year from 01/11/2021 Additional information: The contract value is an estimate based on the aggregate sum of the licence fees that will be paid to the supplier by Jisc member institutions over the one year term of the contract. Jisc Collections itself makes no payment to the supplier for this service.
Procurement Information
The publishing service and content is unique to the supplier. Therefore Jisc is clear that the arrangement falls within the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights, contained within Regulation 32 (2) (b) (iii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015,permitting Jisc to enter into the direct award.
