Summary of the contracting process

The Environment Agency is conducting a tender titled "Landscape Services for the Environment Agency (North East, North West, Midlands)" focused on landscaping and maintenance services across various regions. The procurement process is currently at the active tender stage, with a submission deadline of 15 November 2021. This contract, divided into three regional lots, encompasses projects that require the establishment and aftercare of landscaped areas, which is vital for environmental protection. The total contract period spans approximately up to nine years based on specific lot requirements, with systematic evaluation criteria in place, including price as a key factor for awarding contracts.

This procurement presents considerable opportunities for businesses specialising in landscape gardening and environmental maintenance services. Enterprises involved in planting and aftercare, particularly those who can demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations and possess the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, will find themselves particularly well-suited to compete for these contracts. Given the urgency stemming from previous procurement challenges, companies are encouraged to prepare compliant submissions that align with the detailed requirements set forth in the procurement documentation.
