Tender for the Provision of Healthwatch Oldham (HWO) and NHS Independent Complaints Services (ICAS)
Notice Description
Oldham Council currently commissions external providers to deliver Healthwatch Oldham (HWO) and NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy services (ICAS). The current arrangements for delivery of these services are ending in March 2022 and aim to start the new service from 1st April 2022. Oldham Council is looking to reprocure the Healthwatch Oldham (HWO) and NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy services (ICAS) and intends to appoint a suitable provider to each lot to deliver the services as follows: LOT 1 - Healthwatch Oldham (HWO) LOT 2 - NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy services (ICAS) There is no restriction on a tenderer to bid for all or any lot. Healthwatch Oldham (HWO)
Healthwatch is the independent champion for both health and social care. The aim of local Healthwatch is to give citizens and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social care services are provided within their locality.
Renewal: Contract Duration: - Initial Three (3) years with an option to extend up to a further two x two years Max Duration: 7 Years
NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy services (ICAS)The NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy service is required to provide a flexible, person- centred service that will empower and support anyone who wishes to pursue and resolve a complaint about services provided or commissioned by the NHS in England and which falls within the prescribed complaints process. It will also support Service Users with a complaint related to any aspect of healthcare that falls under the jurisdiction of the Health Service Ombudsman.
