New Distribution Centre located at the Port of Cardiff
Notice Description
Associated British Ports (ABP) intend to procure a Contractor to deliver the design and construction of a 11,000m2 distribution center comprising warehouse and office accommodation and associated external works (including but not limited to its associated civils, landscaping, car parking, service yard and van storage) on a site covering approximately 24 acres at the Port of Cardiff as further detailed within Appendix 1 of this PQQ document.

Associated British Ports (ABP) intend to procure a Contractor to deliver the design and construction of a 11,000m2 distribution center comprising warehouse and office accommodation and associated external works (including but not limited to its associated civils, landscaping, car parking, service yard and van storage) on a site covering approximately 24 acres at the Port of Cardiff as further detailed within Appendix 1 of this PQQ document.The overall duration of the design & construction of the works, is to be 8 months. The start date is envisaged to be March 2022 which would result in completion of the whole of the works by October 2022. Whilst the start & completion dates may move based on this procurement process, the overall durations for the design & construction of the works will remain as 8 months. The Contract will include key dates and sectional completion dates including conditions to be met for these dates as the Contractor will have to accommodate work (to be clearly defined in the scope & contract data part one) by others not employed by ABP. ABP intend to engage with the successful bidder under the NEC 4 ECC Option A form of contract with amendments which will include provisions for delay damages.The successful Contractor is required to take on full responsibility for the design in its entirety including the design provided by the Client. The Contractor is to complete the design and construct the works.The total estimated contract value is circa PS25 million.
