The service must be provided under the principals set out in the SIAA guidance. Reference to the relevant law, regulation or administrative provision: Principles and standards for independent advocacy were published by the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance in 2008 and updated 2019 and by the Scottish Government in its Guide for Commissioners in 2013. They underpin the service to be provided.
