Notice Description

The Farm Business Survey (FBS) was first conducted in 1936. The survey assists in policy formulation to help improve efficiency on individual farms and is a resource for research. The FBS is the official source of farm level income figures and is the data source for a number of National Statistics publications. It is also used as the basis for the published Forecasts of Farm Incomes and to estimate inputs for the production of the Aggregate Agricultural Accounts.

2.1. The Authority is seeking to appoint a Contractor to provide Services for undertaking the Farm Business Survey (FBS) in England. Annual data will be required for four surveys, covering the accounting periods 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25, 2025/26 (see timetable in paragraph 5.1.1). The contract will commence on 1st July 2022 and will end on 31 January 2027 with the potential to extend for a further 12 months to undertake the requirements for the accounting period 2026/27.
