E.T.Foakes Memorial Hall Proposed 3-Storey Extension
Notice Description
Great Dunmow Town Council is contracting for extension works at E T Foakes Memorial Hall, Great Dunmow, Essex, CM6 1DG. The works comprise the partial demolition of the existing structure and construction of a new 3-storey side extension including basement, internal alterations to the existing building and associated external works and drainge. The works are programmed to commence on site in mid-July 2022. Contract duration will be 18 weeks. The works have been fully detailed by Edward Parsley Associates Ltd, who have also been appointed to administer the building contract and to act as Principal Designer. However, under the terms of the building contract (JCTICD2016) the contractor will be required to complete the design and construction of basement waterproofing system, concrete beam and block flooring, timber internal and steel external stairs and mechanical and electrical services installations. Part of the adjacent car park will be available for use as a compound area by the contractorfor the duration of the works. The existing Memorial Hall Building will be unoccupied throughout. The procurement will be via single stage selective tender and it is anticipated that an order will be placed with the successful contractor early in April 2022
