Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence has initiated a tender process for the procurement of a "Future Through Barrier Imaging System (TBIS)" in the goods category. The current competition for this system has been cancelled, and a new competition is planned to be released in February 2023 due to delays and omissions in the original contract notice. The procurement stage is in the planning phase, and the contracting authority is based in Bristol, United Kingdom.

This tender for the "Future Through Barrier Imaging System" by the Ministry of Defence presents an opportunity for suppliers to participate in the selective procurement process. Businesses in the X-ray developers industry would be well-suited to compete. The deadline for submission is set for January 20, 2022, with specific instructions provided for suppliers and subcontractors on how to express interest and respond to the tender.

Notice Title

Future Through Barrier Imaging System (TBIS)

Notice Description

This corrigendum is to notify the market that the current competition for Future TBIS referenced 701638450 is being cancelled with the intention of releasing a new competition to fulfil this requirement. Due to various delays on the release of the ITT the DPQQ that was previously undertaken is over one year old. The Authority believes proceeding with the current competition presents unnecessary risk regarding the information provided being outdated and potential changes in the supply market. It has also been identified that there were some omissions in the original Contract Notice, such as estimated Contract value and options years, which need to be corrected. Due to this, it was decided to cancel the current competition reference 701638450 and start a new competition to fulfil this requirement. A new Contract Notice and DPQQ will be drafted for this competition and is estimated to be released in February 2023.
