Eurofusion Water Chemistry
Notice Description
The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is a non-departmental government body carrying out research into nuclear fusion as a future source of energy. At UKAEA, we are involved in the development of water chemistry regimes, corrosion mitigation, and modelling for DEMO and ITER via a collaborations with the EUROFusion FP9 framework. UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, SME's and manufacturers for the support of modelling and experimental verification, and the development of a corrosion database which is essential in order to define and understand the required water chemistry regime in fusion reactors.

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is a non-departmental government body carrying out research into nuclear fusion as a future source of energy. At UKAEA, we are involved in the development of water chemistry regimes, corrosion mitigation, and modelling for DEMO and ITER via a collaborations with the EUROFusion FP9 framework. UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, SME's and manufacturers for the support of modelling and experimental verification, and the development of a corrosion database which is essential in order to define and understand the required water chemistry regime in fusion reactors. Through this process we are looking to engage with suppliers to ensure there is sufficient production capability and capacity to meet project timelines and design requirements. After the engagement exercise, UKAEA intend to issue an Invitation to Tender through EU Supply and the Find a Tender portal to procure services for design, development, and testing work through competitively tendered contracts.
