Summary of the contracting process

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is planning a procurement process for the Archives Move Programme, specifically focusing on asset migration. This initiative, classified under construction project management services, is set to occur in the UK, with key activities scheduled between July 2022 and December 2023. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a Request for Information (RFI) already issued. The BBC has indicated that there will be no contract awarded through this RFI, but it signals upcoming opportunities in this area, and all interested suppliers are invited to register their interest by a future notice date of December 21, 2021.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in project management and logistics, especially those with expertise in handling sensitive archival materials and relocating office infrastructure. Companies that provide construction project management services or possess experience in large-scale relocation projects would be particularly well-suited to compete for future contracts arising from this RFI. Engaging in this procurement process could facilitate growth and establish long-term relationships with a prestigious organisation like the BBC, reinforcing their portfolio with high-profile projects.
