The UK intends to become carbon neutral by 2050. New technologies from university laboratories will be a major element of this move, particularly regarding the application of hydrogen technologies. The Executive will be expected to work closely with members of this research group to; * engage with active members of the UK hydrogen economy, * establish the true market potential of H2-CHP Ltd, * build H2-CHP as an investable proposition, * lead H2-CHP to its first investment The executive will take responsibility for all business related tasks, they will be expected to have the necessary scientific vocabulary required to interact with the researchers, and, the business vocabulary and knowledge to build a sustainable business. The appointed Executive will be expected to work closely with Prof Tony Roskilly and members of his research group to; * Engage with active members of the UK hydrogen economy, especially grant providers and the activity based on Teesside and the other industrial clusters. * Establish the true market potential of H2-CHP in a report and presentation. * Write H2-CHP's first business plan. * Use knowledge about the hydrogen economy, market, and business plan developed above to create an investment proposition, slide deck, and presentation pitch. suitable for a first round of investment. * Present the investment proposition to potential investors. * Apply for appropriate grants as they arise. * Attend to all non-scientific/technical activities related to the creation of H2-CHP Ltd The overall purpose is to lead the creation of a sustainable North East business utilising Durham University developed technology.
