Summary of the contracting process

The Gloucestershire County Council is seeking to enhance its health and social care services through the "Round 3 Re-Opening Gloucestershire Health and Social Care Pseudo-Framework 2020-2024" tender. This procurement, currently in the Award stage and initiated on 1st February 2022, encompasses the provision of various community-based support services across Gloucestershire, specifically targeting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions. The estimated total value for the framework over four years is approximately GBP 244 million, with the estimated annual value set at GBP 62 million. The tender involves multiple lots, categorized under health and social work services, with a focus on domiciliary care and supported living options.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in health and social care services, particularly those offering domiciliary care, community support, and forensic services. With the procurement method classified as open, potential competitors include service providers capable of delivering quality support to vulnerable populations. Companies engaged in supported living, floating support for youth, and those with expertise in complex care scenarios would be well-suited to participate in the tendering process. The diverse range of lots allows for targeted bidding, enabling businesses to align their services with the specific needs outlined in the procurement.
