Health Education England are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to the University of Sheffield, University College London and University of Liverpool
The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal.
HEE is seeking providers to deliver a fully integrated blended learning programme that strategically develops placement capacity for orthoptics across the country.
HEE believes that the three Universities identified for this partnership make them uniquely placed to deliver this service for the following reasons:
* already have the necessary links in orthoptic educational provision and therefore will be able to undertake this work
* all three have a track record of delivering innovative projects in education
* have existing strong relationship with HEE in the successful delivery of health educational programmes
* have expertise and established programmes in delivering orthoptic education
* are all world leading institutions that provide quality tertiary education to a wide range of students, including international students
