Summary of the contracting process

The Hertsmere Borough Council is currently conducting a selective tender process for the "HBC 0222 Design and Build Clarendon and Eldon Ave" project, aimed at constructing 26 new apartments in Borehamwood. This procurement falls under the construction works category for multi-dwelling buildings and individual houses. Interested organisations must submit their expressions of interest via the e-Tendering system and complete a Selection Questionnaire by the deadline of 7 March 2022. The second stage of the procurement process will see invitations issued on 21 March 2022, following a pre-qualification stage. The estimated contract value is £5,250,000, with work expected to last around 720 days from the award date.

This opportunity is ideal for construction firms specialising in residential projects and developers experienced in multi-phase builds. The tender allows for submissions for either individual sites at Clarendon Gardens and Eldon Avenue or a combined bid for the two locations. Companies with capabilities in demolition and build works, as well as those familiar with the restrictive procurement procedures, would be well-suited to participate, potentially leading to significant business growth by securing a substantial contract with the local authority.
