Notice Title
Ealing Children's Day and Community Short Breaks
Notice Description
The London Borough of Ealing would like to invite interested children's day and community short breaks providers to participate in a market research exercise which will contribute to the development of our short breaks offer for children with additional needs. The Council currently spends PS3.8 million per annum on providing a range non-residential short breaks, domiciliary care and Direct Payments to support children with additional needs and their families. The commissioning of services in this area is currently under review and the Council's priorities are outlined below. These include offering young people and their families a diverse range of support and meaningful short break opportunities, building local capacity and delivering excellent quality services that offer value for money. Future Commissioning Priorities Commissioners are keen to seek feedback and the perspective of experienced service providers and would particularly like to hear about: 1. The variety and types of short breaks provision which offers children and young people with a range of additional needs the opportunity to develop skills, further interests, hobbies and have fun experiences. 2. How the Council can support providers to develop additional capacity within the borough. 3. Any areas of significant innovation in the delivery of short breaks or ideas for future potential innovations. 4. How providers could support the Council to deliver value for money, balancing the need to provide services which offer great outcomes for children and their families in an environment reducing public expenditure. Providers are invited to read more about Council commissioning priorities and share their views and experience in the questionnaire accessed via the London Tenders Portal at the following link: https://procontract.due-north.com/Procurer/Advert/View?advertId=d8fcd10b-6c8e-ec11-8112-005056b64545&fromAdvertEvent=True Providers completing the questionnaire can also request to meet individually with commissioners to further discuss their response and their delivery of day and community short breaks for children with additional needs. For more information please contact Christine Baker, Commercial Manager at Bakerc@ealing.gov.uk
