Summary of the contracting process

Newcastle City Council has retendered its Home Care framework, consolidating multiple frameworks into a single offer to deliver quality, responsive home care services. The focus is on co-designing a new model, moving away from traditional approaches towards more flexible and responsive services. The procurement includes four lots divided by geographical zones within Newcastle: North, East, Inner West, and Outer West. The Council has awarded contracts to multiple suppliers for each zone.

This tender for the Newcastle Home Care Framework provides opportunities for businesses in the health and social work services sector, particularly those experienced in providing home care services to older people, individuals with mental health needs, physical disabilities, and specific care needs. Local and regional suppliers, as well as SMEs and large organisations with expertise in community-based care, are well-suited to compete for these contracts. The Home Care framework aims to support the well-being and independence of individuals within Newcastle, fostering long, happy, and healthy lives through innovative care models and service delivery.
