Summary of the contracting process

The UKRI - British Geological Survey is currently initiating a procurement process for a project titled "BGS Replacement Lighting Framework Agreement," aimed at establishing a framework to support lighting replacement initiatives at their head office in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire. The project falls under the goods category, specifically focusing on lighting systems, and is entering the tender stage of procurement. This initiative is particularly time-sensitive, with relevant key procurement details available as the project progresses, including deadlines for submissions yet to be clarified.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in energy-efficient lighting solutions, particularly those proficient in providing LED alternatives and related installation services. Companies that can offer cost-effective, sustainable solutions with reduced maintenance requirements will be well-positioned to compete in the mini-competitions for individual lighting projects under the framework agreement, thereby fostering potential growth through multiple Call-Off Contracts with the British Geological Survey.

Notice Title

BGS Replacement Lighting Framework Agreement

Notice Description

UKRI wishes to establish a Framework Agreement to support the British Geological Survey (BGS) with replacement lighting projects at their head office (Keyworth, Nottinghamshire). As part of BGS's strategy to reduce energy consumption we are looking to replace older style light fittings with more efficient LED alternatives. There will be additional benefits of cost saving through reduced maintenance requirements realised from increased life expectancy of installed parts and expected reduced frequency of lighting repairs. The aim of the procurement is to put in place a framework of Suppliers, from which mini-competitions can be undertaken, to award Call-Off Contracts for individual lighting projects, as needed and afforded.
