Notice Description
Our Future Health is a charity that is building the UK's largest ever health research programme, designed to help people live healthier lives for longer through the discovery and testing of more effective approaches to prevention, earlier detection, and treatment of diseases. A supplier(s) is required to provide services across the UK to facilitate 2.5 million people joining the programme and providing a blood sample by the end of 2025. A service provider(s) will be responsible for elements of in-person participant enrolment, which likely includes but may not be limited to: i. Supply and management of fixed venues and/or mobile units (DDA compliant Access, HBN Compliant, HTN Compliant, overnight security, power, heating/cooling provision, air circulation, reception, waiting area, choice of bays areas, area for staff). Identifying, surveying, and securing suitable locations ii. Recruitment, training, and management of clinical staff to triage participants, collect body measurements (for example, blood pressure, height and weight) and blood samples iii. Procurement, management, and supply of stock items such as blood tubes iv. Responsible for legal and compliance issues related to providing and managing locations for enrolment of participants into a health research programme v. Quality assurance of service levels in-line with an agreed SOW During enrolment into the programme volunteers will be asked to consent to the programme, fill out a health questionnaire, and provide a blood sample. They may also be asked by clinical staff to provide body measurements such as height, weight and blood pressure. Some of these aspects of the programme may have been completed online, before the in-person visit on Our Future Health's platform.

The aim of Our Future Health is to recruit up to 5 million adults from across the UK to take part in the largest research programme of its kind. Participants will be asked to provide information about their health and lifestyles and a sample of their blood. Combining these sources of health information, including genetic data, will create an incredibly detailed picture that researchers will be able to use to make new discoveries about human health and diseases. Our Future Health is now seeking to engage providers who will be responsible for the blood sample collection in mobile units and fixed venues which encompasses: i. Supply and management of fixed venues and/or mobile units (DDA compliant Access, HBN Compliant, HTN Compliant, overnight security, power, heating/cooling provision, air circulation, reception, waiting area, choice of bays areas, area for staff). Identifying, surveying and securing suitable locations. ii. Recruitment, training, and management of clinical staff to triage participants, collect body measurements (for example, blood pressure, height and weight) and blood samples. iii. Procurement, management, and supply of stock items such as blood tubes. iv. Responsibility for legal and compliance issues related to providing and managing locations for enrolment of participants into a health research programme v. Quality assurance of service levels in-line with an agreed SOW. Additional information: Providers in this market are invited to express interest in this procurement activity by email to ourfuturehealth@akesoco.com by Monday 14th March. On receipt of expression of interest providers will be asked to respond to a short questionnaire in advance of being invited to a briefing session to describe the requirement and expectation of the service of the market in more detail.
