Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process, initiated by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, focuses on the "Forth Bridge Walk Experience Off Bridge Design & Build" project, which falls under the construction and civil engineering sector. The project is currently in the Planning stage with a notable budget of £4,000,000. An important pre-market engagement event is scheduled for 14:00 on 5th April 2022 via Microsoft Teams, during which interested parties can gain insights into the project and address immediate queries. Suppliers must complete the Expression of Interest through the designated e-sourcing portal by 4th April 2022 to participate.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the construction and civil engineering fields, particularly those with expertise in building construction works. Companies that specialise in design and build services, especially those with experience in visitor centre projects or similar works, would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. Additionally, engaging in the upcoming virtual event could provide valuable insights and networking opportunities, thereby strengthening potential bids.
