Notice Information
Notice Title
A Service to Prevent Offending and Reoffending Amongst Young Adults
Notice Description
The overall aim of the service is to: Engage young adults at a reachable moment and offer tailored and timely support/intervention to halt the progression of offending and future involvement in the adult Criminal Justice System. The reachable moment is defined as coming into contact with the Police for behaviour/offences which cause concern and where an out-of-court disposal is appropriate and suitable to address this concern and any underlying needs. The service will largely comprise a single point of contact model whereby young adults will be allocated a keyworker who will offer consistent, accurate and timely support. The keyworker will also advocate on behalf of the young adult, deliver relevant and meaningful individual and group-based interventions, and make onward referrals and ensure engagement with other appropriate support services when needed.
