Summary of the contracting process

The Sovereign Housing Association is seeking to establish a multi-contractor framework for new build projects to deliver houses across various geographical areas. The framework aims to cover a range of construction-based works from small garage infill sites to large, multi-phased developments. With an active status, the framework has a total contract value of £800 million and includes multiple lots categorised by geographical regions and project sizes, providing opportunities for contractors to bid and be awarded a place.

This tender by the Sovereign Housing Association presents an opportunity for businesses in the construction industry, particularly those involved in construction work. The procurement process is in the selective stage, following a restricted procedure. Interested organisations can participate in the framework agreement under specified award criteria, with a focus on quality and price considerations. The auction for the multi-contractor framework was conducted under the restricted procedure, structured in lots according to geographical areas and project sizes, and warmly welcomed bids from SMEs and large contractors alike.
