Summary of the contracting process

The NHS England is seeking a single organisation to deliver the Autism Schools Project, aimed at enhancing the understanding of autism across up to 20 secondary schools in London. The procurement method is classified as limited, allowing this contract to proceed without prior publication of a call for competition. The project, which has a total value of £622,000 and was signed on 22nd March 2022, is currently under the award stage following completion of the tender process. The main focus of this project falls within the education and training services industry, with the successful organisation required to develop an accredited training package for educators and school staff.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in education services and autism support, particularly those with experience in project management and developing comprehensive training programmes. Firms with a strong background in working with autistic individuals and their families, as well as the ability to engage with various educational and health services, will be particularly well-suited to compete. By participating, these businesses can contribute to meaningful social change while expanding their service offerings and client base within schools across the UK.
