Summary of the contracting process

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has progressed to awarding a contract for the maintenance and improvement of the FCA Handbook website and associated services. The procurement falls within the IT services category, covering consulting, software development, Internet, and support. The awarded contract started on 2nd May 2024 and is set to run until 1st May 2029, centred around the UKI4 region, specifically at 12 Endeavour Square, London. The procurement process followed the open procedure, and the contract, valued at £5,681,560, was awarded to FINREGE LIMITED, an SME based in London. As of 29th May 2026, contract updates and enhancements have been recorded, ensuring the project aligns with regulatory requirements and operational necessities.

This tender provides significant growth potential for businesses, especially those specialising in IT services, software development, and support. Opportunities exist for enhancing the FCA Handbook’s digital presence through API integration and user experience improvements. SMEs can particularly benefit, given the contract's encouragement for their involvement, subject to fulfilling the set procurement criteria. Companies adept in managing web-based content, user interface design, and system integration would be well-suited to engage in future developments or related projects within the FCA's digital transformation initiatives.
