Summary of the contracting process

The NHS South of England Procurement Services is currently engaged in a planned procurement process titled "Specialist Fertility Services - RFI - NHS/SOEPS/22.865". This initiative is categorised under health and social work services and is focused on gathering insights from healthcare providers about a range of assisted conception services designed to support infertile patients within the Sussex area. Interested parties are invited to respond to this request for information (RFI) by noon on Friday, 12th August 2022, through the specified online submission portal. While this RFI will help the Commissioner form a strategic view for future service commissioning, it is not a formal tendering process; further tender advertisements will follow as required. The communication surrounding this procurement indicates that a future notice is expected by the end of December 2023.

This procurement initiative presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in assisted reproductive technologies and healthcare services. Companies providing in-vitro fertilisation, cryopreservation, and other fertility-related services could find this a valuable opening to demonstrate their expertise and capabilities. As the NHS aims to offer equitable access to these essential services, businesses that can deliver high-quality and innovative fertility solutions will be well-positioned to compete effectively in any subsequent tender processes that may arise from this RFI. Engaging early with the Commissioner could also afford organisations insights that may enhance their future proposals.
